Winter Wonderland

A small quaint village
Under a pitch black sky
With snow falling softly
Under the blanket it lies.
Families in houses decorated in lights
When seen from afar,
O! what a Christmas sight!
Cookies baked and frosted so sweet
The aroma fills houses;
A lovely Christmas treat!
Evergreens covered in string popcorn
Lights, ornaments, and bows
Help determine the day Jesus was born.
Singing Christmas carols
while walking the streets;
Dancing while walking
Entranced by the beats.
The true magic however,
Occurs when there's snow
A laughter filled endeavor
That never gets old.
Skaters atop
a large,frozen pond.
If a mishap occurs;
just wave the magic wand.
At the end of the day
Cookies and cocoa await
And hoping Santa will come,
Not a minute to late.

  1. Perfect for this time of the year. It beautifully paints the picture of a snowy day where everything in sight in is blanketed by a thin sheet of white. It shows just how much everyone loves this time of the year, with every little thing weaving together flawlessly to form the magic of the Christmas season.
